The Best Fake Tan - Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Self-Tanning Mousse Review

For years now, I have searched high and low for a great, but affordable, fake tan. In my eyes, the best fake should make you look bronzed not orange, not look streaky or patchy, not smell terrible, not make all your clothes and bed sheets orange, and not run when you spill a bit of liquid on you.

Now unfortunately, I cannot afford the top brands that would give me all these results, such as St. Tropez or Fake Bake. This in the past has led me to try cheaper high street brands, such as St. Moriz, Rimmel, Boots own brand, Along came Betty, etc. However none of these products ever managed to quite match what I was looking for. I would either end up looking orange or patchy, or I'd be on a night out, have a drink spilt over me, and come home looking like I'd got a disease!

Then one day I discovered Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Tanning Mousse. This fake tan is by far the best tan I have used without having to spend a fortune, as it's RRP is about £9.

The tan leaves you looking a gorgeous, natural bronzed colour. The bottle suggests just one layer and topping up the next day if you want a deeper tan, however I always apply two layers, as I like a dark deep tan. I would recommend buying the accompanying mitt and exfoliating glove. The mousse combined with the mitt makes an effortless tanning process: the tan glides effortlessly onto your skin, and it is silky-smooth and extremely even application, without having to worry too much about whether or not you have covered everywhere evenly.

Although the tan doesn't develop straight away, whilst you are applying it there is a slight tint so you can see where you have applied it and how much. If you're going out that night I would recommend applying it at least that morning, or the day before it you can, to get the best results in terms of the tan developing. With this tan you don't get the horrible fake tan smell, and I've found it also barely runs if you do happen to spill a drink on you whilst your out or accidentally get it wet!

The only cons to this tan is that after you've applied it it does stay sticky for quite a while, so you should be cautious when getting dressed as it can transfer onto your clothes. Also, even once it has dried the tan isn't very transfer resistant, and I've found if I wear white I will end up with fake tan marks on my clothes.

Apart from this, I would recommend this tan to any girl! It gives you a gorgeous, flawless, natural looking tan!
